So I know we are all already anxious about that week in May when we will have all of our exams... I personally am not looking forward to it. I think having so many exams in such a small period is going to be very stressful. I am having a slight dilemma about this because exam week is also Ovation "Hell Week" (the week of the first performance when we have to stay there until like 10 pm). As a few of you have learned in my personal narrative, Ovation changed my life, so I am definitely going to do it again this year. I'm just a little worried that this decision might impact my IB scores... I feel that it is important in the long run that I do Ovation. Just something I've been thinking about.
Thanks guys!
As you might know by now, the IB program will give you anything you can't handle. However, what you do outside of IB is done at your own risk. I obviously won't change your mind, but if I were even into doing Ovation I would forgo it this year, as even though it is senior year, think about your life beyond high school. There will be many more opportunities to showcase your talents and have fun later, and that it would be most vital to focus on what gets you further in life. I do wish you the best of luck with that, however.
ReplyDeleteCody, I agree that looking beyond high school is crucial, however, I feel this applies to more than just getting the best IB scores! High school isn't only for preparing academically for our lives beyond CP, it's also for discovering ourselves and our passions and building relationships with others, also important life skills. I agree with Kenzie that it's important that she do both if it's what she loves! At the end of that week, make sure to buy yourself a massage or something to relieve the stress :)
